CKZ Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the CKZ Time Clock software and the website at ckzinc.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account or purchase a license, we collect your name, company name, email address, phone number, and billing address.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive a transaction ID and basic billing details from the payment processor.

Usage data: For the Online Edition, we log features used, session activity, and error events to operate and improve the service. We do not sell this data.

Employee time data: Time clock records (clock-in/out timestamps, employee names, schedules, leave balances) are entered by you and stored on your behalf. You own this data. We process it only to provide the service.

Contact form submissions: When you contact us, we retain your message to respond and improve support.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and operate your account
• To process payments and deliver license keys
• To provide customer support
• To send service-related notices (billing, security, product updates)
• To improve and troubleshoot the software

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted from our systems. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.

4. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Employee passwords are stored using industry-standard bcrypt hashing. The Online Edition database is hosted on Everleap (Microsoft SQL Server) with access restricted to our application credentials.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie to maintain your login state. Cloudflare Turnstile (used on our contact and signup forms) may set a functional cookie for bot detection. With your consent (via the cookie banner shown on your first visit), we also use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns; this may involve cookies set by Google. You can accept or decline this at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.

6. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing
• Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and bot protection (Turnstile)
• Everleap — hosting infrastructure for the Online Edition

7. Your Rights

You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@ckzinc.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance.
